EPA’s OPEI Summer Intern Program
The Office of Environmental Policy Innovation (OEPI) in the National Center for Environmental Innovation (NCEI); located in the Office of Policy, Economics and Innovation (OPEI) within the EPA is looking for summer interns. The internship will involve substantive involvement with one or more projects; each designed to provide the student with the opportunity to collaborate with staff in the office to provide experience in working on an environmental issue or policy. There will also be mandatory seminars and field trips. Applicants must be enrolled, full-time students and committ to 10-12 weeks of work without vacations.

Individuals wishing to be considered should send the following application materials:
1. cover letter
2. resume (please include citizenship details)
3. 3-5 page writing sample (do not send more than 5 pages)
4. a letter from the registrar (on letterhead with official signature) indicating student status for Fall ’07 (you can scan and email with the rest of the information)
5. names of references
Please send ALL five items together (if you do not have access to a scanner, you may mail the enrollment verification letter separately, but please indicate this in your cover letter).
