The Daily Daily for Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
MSA voted last night in support of a gender-neutral housing option. Sweet. Let’s hope that many more student governments on campus will get on board as well.
The Michigan Vision Party filled 11 open MSA seats. I can SEE that they are continuing to have a fair amount of support (See what I did there? It’s the VISION party so I….moving on…..)
An MCard was pinched from the IM Building on Monday. You heard that right. Pinched. Huh? Oh, the Daily.
Medical school students caroled outside of Dingell’s office calling for more support for AIDS treatment and prevention funding. Can we go caroling WITH Dingell? How much fun would that be?!?
The DC City Council passed the first of two votes allowing same-sex marriage in the nation’s capital. Joe Sandman is smiling. And just for kicks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xW6eMiZv0zs
In a letter to the editor, a student complains about all the chalking IASA did to promote it’s annual dance show. Yes, there was a lot of chalking, but I was quite impressed. Way to go, Mama Nina!
The Statement has an article about the different ways people use listservs. The heading reads “TMI@umich.edu.” I feel bad for Thomas M Ivacko, Administrator & Program Manager at the Ford School, who is the real TMI@umich.edu.
In the comic strip, a guy promises his friend that he’ll watch his laptop going so far as to not even allow President Obama use it. First off, bad move dude. Secondly, this is stupid.
The Michigan men’s basketball team will be taking on Boston College tonight. In other words, Joe Sandman and Ben Sandman will be going up against the entire Sandman family tree.
