My Lords, My Saviors, My Senators

The Stupak Amendment, which has been chronicled (here, here, and here), has somehow become hair that is going the break the Health Care camel’s back.

My question is… if the Senate is able to protect abortion by not including Stupak in the their version of the bill does that justify their existence? Without 60 votes in favor of another Amendment, say the (INSERT CRAZY REPUBLICAN SENTOR HERE) Amendment, there is no way it will be able to pass the Senate. Additionally, it will hopefully be reconciled out of the bill final version.

Is this the perfect anti-Duvallian, pro-senate proof our noble overlords need to defend their existence? Discuss…
