Umich Dems Challenge Umich Dems to Phone-banking Showdown

So smug.
The University of Michigan’s College Democrats chapter has been reveling in the success of an admittedly epic phone-banking session back in October. They reportedly spent weeks training for the event, practicing thumb-strengthening exercises in order to maximize phone-dialing capabilities. Their efforts paid off in the form of 1,739 calls for health care, setting an Organizing for America record.
We are going to take them down. Instead of meeting in an alley, snapping our fingers and singing West Side Story-style, as I would personally prefer, we are going to hit them where it’ll really hurt: their phone-banking pride. Sign up (and RSVP ) to make calls for health care reform this Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m . With your help, we are going to ensure that the chapter’s members wake up on Friday morning to find out their record has been shattered. Just imagine their faces when they hear the news.
They’ll never even see this coming.
